The 2nd Annual PigDog Beach Volleyball Classic will take place June 4th – 5th. Teams of 2 will compete in various divisions based on age/skill level, while teams of 6 participate in a recreational division. A free weekly ceremony every Sunday morning to raise the casket flag of a Veteran to honor and remember ALL Veterans, held at the Lou Booth Amphitheater at 2nd and Ocean Avenues in North Wildwood. Arrive 10 minutes before sunrise to participate in a 20-minute tribute and inspirational message at the most beautiful vista on the Jersey Shore. This location offers photo ops galore! The Flag Raising Ceremony is weather permitting as Veteran Casket Flags are not for all-weather. On the Wildwood Burk Avenue Beach! Accessible by the boardwalk extension alongside the Wildwoods Convention Center. Look for the purple yoga flag! Enjoy an easy evening of yin yoga and vibrational healing as the day winds down. We begin in longer held stretches to go beyond the muscles and target our connective tissue. This creates greater flexibility as we go deeper into the stretch. Yin yoga is a wonderful compliment to any active form of exercise and can be practiced daily. The stretches will lead into a final relaxation pose. To aid your relaxation and allow you to fully unwind, I offer a guided meditation that extends into a longer rest accompanied by gongs, crystal bowls, Tibetan singing bowls and bells as well as the gentle sounds of the ocean. I will share Reiki with each of you, as well, to enhance your healing. Class is approximately 75 minutes. Bring a beach towel and a blanket or a cover up for the relaxation part at the end. Bring water and anything else that will allow you to relax! $10 a person of two for $16. On the Wildwood Burk Avenue Beach! Accessible by the boardwalk extension alongside the Wildwoods Convention Center. Look for the purple yoga flag! Enjoy an easy evening of yin yoga and vibrational healing as the day winds down. We begin in longer held stretches to go beyond the muscles and target our connective tissue. This creates greater flexibility as we go deeper into the stretch. Yin yoga is a wonderful compliment to any active form of exercise and can be practiced daily. The stretches will lead into a final relaxation pose. To aid your relaxation and allow you to fully unwind, I offer a guided meditation that extends into a longer rest accompanied by gongs, crystal bowls, Tibetan singing bowls and bells as well as the gentle sounds of the ocean. I will share Reiki with each of you, as well, to enhance your healing. Class is approximately 75 minutes. Bring a beach towel and a blanket or a cover up for the relaxation part at the end. Bring water and anything else that will allow you to relax! $10 a person of two for $16. Cedar Avenue & the Wildwood beach. Morey’s is proud to partner with Tri-State Roundnet to bring America’s newest and fastest net game to the expansive beaches of Wildwood, NJ. Inspired by elements of volleyball and four-square, Roundnet is quickly becoming one of America’s fastest-growing sports. This event will be held at Morey’s infamous PigDig Beach Bar, where you can enjoy fantastic drinks and world-famous barbecue without ever leaving the sand. All registered Spikefest participants will receive a $5 credit ($10 per team) to PigDog Beach Bar. In addition to the gameplay and the good eats, participants will have the opportunity to purchase deeply discounted admission to Morey’s Piers and Water Parks. The game is played between two teams of two people. Players are positioned at 4 points around the net, with partners located at neighboring positions. One player serves the ball across the net to the opposing team member. The opposing team then has 3 hits to return the ball to the net. After the serve, there are no boundaries of play. Participants are free to run, set, and spike the ball from anywhere around the net. Play continues until a team fails to return the ball or the ball hits a rim piece, at which point the point ends, and the other team receives 1 point. The Summer Wildwood event Jeep Invasion is the largest gathering of Jeeps in the Northeast with 2500 Jeeps in attendance, and over 100 of the industries top vendors. The entire event takes place on the beach. All Jeeps, and vendors are parked on the beach for this three day event, there is even a beach obstacle course run by Rausch Creek Off Road Park. The event is family friendly and has become a yearly vacation for many of our participants and vendors! All Jeeps must be pre-registered to park on the beach, there is no day of registration, however spectator admission is FREE. Wildwood Beach Patrol proudly hosts the Annual Beach Day with 21 Down from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. The central meeting area will be at Lincoln Avenue and the beach at 10 a.m., in front of Wildwood Beach Patrol Headquarters, at the 20-foot guard tower dubbed “Tower X.” 21 Down is a non-profit, Down Syndrome awareness group serving families, educators and healthcare professionals of Atlantic and Cape May Counties. Their mission is to create awareness and acceptance of people with developmental disabilities while providing information, support and community events for their families. The Beach Day incorporates safe, guarded ocean play time for the children and families of 21 Down, as well as opportunities for interaction and educational opportunities with seasoned lifeguards as they discuss beach safety with attendees. Short breaks for lifeguard style relay races, lunch, cold beverages and ice cream are also provided as beach safety is reinforced. Opening ceremonies begin mid-morning to honor our special needs guests. After the speakers, a volunteer will say a prayer followed by the singing of the National Anthem and then we roll out a Red Carpet to individually introduce our honored guests and their chaperones. Fishing Teams are organized and once everyone is aboard, we depart to the theme song of the Pirates of the Caribbean. Seasoned anglers will teach the kids how to catch fish and a Marine Biologist will be aboard to bring an educational opportunity to the experience. he Borough of Wildwood Crest will host the 4th Annual Christmas in July Festival on Saturday, July 23, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event will be held overlooking the bay at Sunset Lake along New Jersey Avenue from Stanton to Miami avenues. Come celebrate the Christmas season in the summertime with this family-oriented festival along Sunset lake. Moon bounces, a face painter and a dunk tank will be included in the fun. On the Wildwood Burk Avenue Beach! Accessible by the boardwalk extension alongside the Wildwoods Convention Center. Look for the purple yoga flag! Enjoy an easy evening of yin yoga and vibrational healing as the day winds down. We begin in longer held stretches to go beyond the muscles and target our connective tissue. This creates greater flexibility as we go deeper into the stretch. Yin yoga is a wonderful compliment to any active form of exercise and can be practiced daily. The stretches will lead into a final relaxation pose. To aid your relaxation and allow you to fully unwind, I offer a guided meditation that extends into a longer rest accompanied by gongs, crystal bowls, Tibetan singing bowls and bells as well as the gentle sounds of the ocean. I will share Reiki with each of you, as well, to enhance your healing. Class is approximately 75 minutes. Bring a beach towel and a blanket or a cover up for the relaxation part at the end. Bring water and anything else that will allow you to relax! $10 a person of two for $16. On the Wildwood Burk Avenue Beach! Accessible by the boardwalk extension alongside the Wildwoods Convention Center. Look for the purple yoga flag! Enjoy an easy evening of yin yoga and vibrational healing as the day winds down. We begin in longer held stretches to go beyond the muscles and target our connective tissue. This creates greater flexibility as we go deeper into the stretch. Yin yoga is a wonderful compliment to any active form of exercise and can be practiced daily. The stretches will lead into a final relaxation pose. To aid your relaxation and allow you to fully unwind, I offer a guided meditation that extends into a longer rest accompanied by gongs, crystal bowls, Tibetan singing bowls and bells as well as the gentle sounds of the ocean. I will share Reiki with each of you, as well, to enhance your healing. Class is approximately 75 minutes. Bring a beach towel and a blanket or a cover up for the relaxation part at the end. This entertaining and exciting event will include recreation, high school, college and all-star divisions, featuring teams from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware and beyond. All teams will compete on a 54’ by 42’ spring floor and will perform incredible stunts in hopes of winning the judges’ votes. All Performances will be choreographed to music and sound effects, and winning teams will be awarded prizes. Parade registration/check-in begins at 5 p.m. at the North Wildwood Recreation Center, 10th and Central Avenues, North Wildwood. Parade lines up along Central Avenue and steps off 16th Ave at 6:30 p.m. Parade proceeds along Central Ave., then to Pacific Ave., to Spicer Ave., where it will turn and proceed to Byrne Plaza. Awards will be announced for floats and decorated business lighting contest at approximately 7:30 p.m. in Byrne Plaza. 123 E. Andrews Avenue, Wildwood. Enjoy Wildwood’s very own Winter Wonderland at Holly Beach Park. On Dec. 9 – 10 and 16 – 17 the light show will run every twenty minutes from 5p.m-9p.m. Bring the family and enjoy the light show with complimentary hot chocolate and popcorn. The Borough of Wildwood Crest Mayor’s Wellness Campaign and the Wildwood Crest Recreation Department are sponsoring a community Holiday Lights Walk on Monday, Dec. 19, at 5:30 p.m. Walkers will meet at the corner of Rambler Road and New Jersey Avenue and will take an approximately 30-minute walk along Sunset Lake and the surrounding neighborhood to view the various holiday and Christmas light displays. The walk will be led by Wildwood Crest Mayor’s Wellness Campaign coordinator Laura Farrall. The Holiday Lights Walk is free but registration is encouraged. Those interested are asked to send an email to lfarrall@wildwoodcrest.org. Walkers should wear warm clothes and bring a flashlight. All participants will receive a small holiday gift. Questions about Renting

 

How soon do I have to reserve my rental?

It is best to try to book your vacation rental before President's Weekend if you want beachfront or a very particular unit. You will still pretty much have your choice but by the time spring comes, the properties are not as plentiful.

 

Can I make a reservation without coming to see it?

It is best if you actually view the property as we cannot be responsible if you do not like it when you arrive. However, if you feel confident that the pictures you see online are satisfactory, then you can book it by Reserving Online, by  e-mail , calling us (609) 522.4999 or sending a fax (866) 571.9766.

 

If I do come down, where are you located?

We are located at 1701 New Jersey Avenue in North Wildwood. We are open daily 9-5 Monday through Friday and on the Weekends from 9-4. Showings of rental properties bust be pre-arranged so please call us at 609.522.4999 to schedule an appointment.

 

How do I go about making a reservation?

To reserve a property we will need a non-refundable deposit on a major Credit Card. Of that amount $65 represents a processing fee with the remaining amount of your charge being applied to your rental amount upon receipt of your lease agreement and second deposit. To draft the lease we will need your name, address and phone number .Once we receive all the necessary information we will draft the lease and e-mail it to you for your review and signature. You will keep a copy for your own records and return the signed lease to us with a 50% deposit. The final deposit and security deposit, if required, are due two weeks BEFORE your arrival. Your entire transaction can be placed on a major credit card but your security deposit must be paid by check, certified check, money order, traveler's check or cash.

 

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check in times is 2:00 PM & check-out is usually 10:00 AM. When you check out, make sure you do not leave your vehicle(s) in any parking area of the rental or you could be subject to being towed.

 

When I arrive, what do I need to bring with me?

You will need any additional monetary deposits, sheets and towels, beach chairs, food including staples (sugar, salt, paper products, dish detergent etc.). Each unit is unique and we try to put as much information as possible in our written leases. Some units provide beach tags but not all. No keys shall be released to you unless your account is paid in full.

 

Can friends visit while we are renting?

Yes, friends and family can visit but you are restricted to the number of persons that occupy the property specified in your lease. If you exceed that number, you will be in violation of the lease. The lease will be terminated immediately with no monies being returned to you.

 

If I pay a security deposit, do I get it back the day I leave?

State law requires your security deposit be returned within 30 days of your departure. We typically return the deposit within two weeks of your check-out date unless the property was not left in the same clean condition as you received it or if there were any damages.

 

What happens if I make a reservation, and then I have to or want to cancel it?

Island Realty Group does NOT hold your deposit money. All deposits are sent to the owner with the copies of the lease. It is up to the owner to retain or release the deposit when notified of a cancellation. If he is agreeable to release it, he reserves the right to hold your deposit until he has received the deposit from another tenant. If you must cancel your reservation, notify us immediately in writing.  We will then place the property on our active rental list.
